Activities

  • Over the years, the Science National Honor Society has completed many activites celebrating Earth Day.  We have creating planters for teachers and helped in the beautification of the different campuses by planting trees and plants around the district.

We have also was the first small school in North Texas to launch a weather balloon with a grant from the Community Education Foundation.  The balloon's flight took as far as Sulpher Springs and an altitude of 40,000 ft.  The students were amazed with the video sent back.

This year we will be discussing and building gliders, rockets, and launching another weather balloon.  We will also have guest speakers coming in to discuss science achievements and the diffrent fields for science majors.
